Dropping today via Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan label is a brand new six-track remix EP of PEEKABOO & G-REX’s ‘Babatunde.’ The track saw its original release last year.
Taking their original track and throwing it into the hands of some of bass music’s most exciting emerging and established producers, ‘Babatunde’ sees huge reworks from the likes of Dirt Monkey, Eliminate, TYNAN, LUZCID and um.. From the thumping frenetic sound of PEEKABOO & G-REX’s VIP take on it to the rhythmical rework courtesy of Dirt Monkey, this EP delves into new territory. It keeps somehow hold of that original bass sound throughout and brings fresh energy. TYNAN gives us eclectic sampling and adds sweeping intricacy and percussion. LUZCID and um.. round off the release in noteworthy style.
